If you’re an adult existing smoker or heated tobacco user and a fan of sports like football, rugby, or others that are based in a stadium, you may have wondered if you can take heated tobacco with you on match day.
In short, the answer varies depending on where you’re going. The laws are that smoking in all substantially enclosed public places is not allowed, so indoor stadiums, hospitality lounges, indoor food courts are all smoke-free.
When it comes to outdoor stadiums, there is no law that prohibits smoking or using heated tobacco, but each venue will likely have their own restrictions about what is allowed. We’ve taken a look at the policies for the UK’s most visited stadiums, below. Please note, while the venue rules are correct at the time of publication, you should check venue policies prior to each visit in case of change.
Can I smoke or use heated tobacco at Wembley Stadium?
Smoking, or using electronic and vapour cigarettes, which includes heated tobacco, is not permitted anywhere within the stadium. If you would like to elevate your day with heated tobacco, you will have to use it either before entering the venue, or once you’ve left. Note that there is a no re-entry policy at Wembley Stadium, so be aware that you cannot pop out for a heated tobacco break with the intention of re-entering. On occasions like this nicotine pouches are perfect. We recommend Nordic Spirit.
