Responsible disposal of your product

Please do not dispose of your Ploom device in your household waste at the end of its working life. It contains electronic and battery components and should be disposed of as electronic waste.  If electronic waste ends up in landfill, it can cause harm to the environment.

There are three ways you can dispose of your product:

  1. You can recycle old electronics at your local household waste recycling centre.
  2. Your local authority may offer a dedicated kerbside collection service. It is best to check with them to confirm or use the Waste Resources and Action Programme (WRAP) search tool.
  3. When you buy an electronic product from us, we will take back your old one for responsible disposal. ‘You can bring your old device, along with proof of purchase of your new product, to any of our Ploom Lounges or Pop-up stores for disposal. Please note we cannot accept leaking or disassembled products.

There is no need to remove the battery from the device before you recycle it.

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations (WEEE) aim to reduce the amount of waste deposited in landfill sites. Any electrical goods marked with the crossed-out wheelie bin symbol need to be disposed of separately from normal household waste.
